Your score drops instantly and it takes forever to improve when you have days, weeks or months of 5 star drives..... SMH. Cornering and acceleration on scores are hard to have 5 all of the time unless you are driving on a straight road with no-one else on the road. I like to see the developers get out an drive in any Metropolitan area and see what their rating would be ...

Hi David, Your overall score is determined by your trips over the past 2 weeks. So, if you have one less-than-perfect trip and all the rest are flawless, that one outlier will impact your score for no more than 2 weeks. If you're seeing any other oddities, reach out to safetrip@aarp.org and we'll do our best to help.

Works well. Would like to see a feature that, after the fact, would allow you to indicate you were a passenger in a car so that driver's habits would not affect your score.

Hi Normand! I'm happy to say that feature is already available. When you go to your TRIPS page, you can tap the red circle icon shown in the upper corner of any trip. After doing that, you'll see multiple options for labeling your trip. One of those labels is "Passenger." Shoot us an email at safetrip@aarp.org if you need more help.

I like that the app helps me to be a safer driver. The reward points are meaningless. I've been using the app for a year and have yet to win anything.

We're happy to hear that you've found SafeTrip helpful in improving your driving behaviors! Sorry to hear you haven't been lucky in winning any AARP Rewards raffles. You can also use points to purchase gift cards and other cool items. More on that here: https://www.aarp.org/rewards/redeem/#currency=filter_points&sort-by=points_descending
