About this app

The Beltone HearMax app lets you control your hearing aids directly from your mobile device. You can change programs, and make simple or more advanced sound adjustments and save them as favorites. The app helps you learn what you can do and how to do it. It can even help you find your hearing aids if you lose them. Last, but not least, you can have your hearing care professional update your hearing aid programs and send you new hearing aid software without taking a trip to the clinic.

Notes: Please contact your local Beltone representative for product and feature availability in your market. We recommend that the hearing aids run the latest software version. If in doubt, please contact your hearing care professional.

When the app connects to both hearing aids it works as expected. However, getting the app to connect to both hearing aids the first time almost always fails. It's usually necessary to turn Bluetooth off and on several times, and sometimes necessary to restart the entire phone to get both to connect. Yes, I have the latest software in both phone and hearing aids. I don't have any trouble with other apps or devices connecting, only the Beltone hearing aids.

shows the app crashed more than 10 times in the past week. when it is streaming it works great, until it disconnects. its kind of a pain to have to reboot the hearing aid everytime it disconnects. wish I could control more or the sound myself rather than having the office having total control of my heating aids.

We should be able to adjust our aid ourselves while the aid continues making other adjustments to protect our hearing. It is bad enough having to go to work on a machine and the sound lowers and thinking that your battery is dead and not having control adjusting the sound. Every day, not knowing that you are raising your voice trying to hear your voice and after leaving work you hit your head saying, "I've done it again!". May as well not wear the aid and miss the sound you heard before.
