Wallivex utilizes Android's VpnService to establish a secure, local on-device network loopback interface. The use of VpnService is strictly required to provide the core functionality of the application:

1. Why VpnService is required:
• On-Device Packet Filtering: Non-rooted Android devices do not allow apps to inspect or filter network traffic of other applications directly. By creating a local loopback interface via VpnService, Wallivex can intercept and manage network packets directly on your device.
• Per-App Traffic Control: VpnService allows the app to identify which installed package is initiating a connection, enabling granular per-app internet access rules.

2. Relevant features relying on VpnService:
• Per-App Firewall: Restrict or allow internet access for any installed application with a single tap.
• Background Telemetry Prevention: Unwanted background connections and tracker requests from blocked apps are dropped immediately at the device level using VpnService.
• Private DNS Resolution: DNS queries can be routed through the VpnService to privacy-respecting encrypted DNS providers (such as AdGuard DNS, Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, and Quad9) to block ads, malicious domains, and tracking.

3. 100% On-Device Processing – No External VPN Routing:
• Wallivex does NOT operate any external or remote VPN servers.
• Your private network traffic is NEVER routed through any external proxy or remote server.
